Jürgen van Hover (Speedlover) heads for Circuit Zolder in good spirits

Jürgen van Hover, the highly likeable Aalst based driver is returning to the Belgian GT Championship. The economic downturn forced van Hover to curtail his race programme, but the 24 Hours of Zolder was marked off in his diary. Following a first-rate fifth place in the previous edition of the Zolder endurance event, the Porsche driver is looking forward to renewing this success "and that must surely be possible! We're competing once again with the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup, but this time in a Division 1-configuration. I'll be joined by two top team-mates, Jean-François Hemroulle and Tim Verbergt, an ideal starting point!"

As such the Speedlover Porsche 997 GT3 Cup will this year be entered in D1. This will allow Hemroulle and Verbergt to score points in the drivers' championship. We normally see the duo in action with an Audi R8 GT3 LMS, but Belgian Audi Club decided to skip over the 24 Hours of Zolder. "With Jean-François and Tim joining us the bar will be placed high", van Hover commented. "The fourth driver is presently unknown, but there is a good chance that it might be Julien Schroyen. Only recently Julien won the 12 Hours of Spa. On the car front everything has been entirely renewed and at Speedlover we obviously hope to finish the race as high as possible in the rankings. We are full aware that our Porsche is some three seconds down on the other GT3 cars, but we are counting on the legendary reliability of our power beast!"
