Voices from the pitlane before the free practice (part II) Duncan Huisman - Kuismanen Competition: "A 1:32" should be feasible with this Chrysler Viper GTS-R. If we can retain a 1:34" during the race we'll be looking good. I reckon I will spend some 8 hours at the wheel, but should the team ask me to do more I'll oblige. It won't be easy in these temperatures. Luckily it should cool down on Saturday and Sunday. The heat in the car can rise up to 70 degrees, and this year we're competing with air conditioning. The pedals also become very hot, so we must make sure we don't put our foot in it."
Anthony Kumpen - Delahaye Racing Team: "I would have preferred rain. With this weather the Vipers will have the best of us. We have a highly homogenous team, most probably the best line-up of the entire field. Notwithstanding that it will be a difficult race for us. Our car isn't really excelling. Regarding consumption we're on a par with the slower GT3-models, when it comes to speed we're in the middle of the pack, and on top of that the Mégane drives like a kart. The car isn't really built for a 24 hours race, and you can't compare it to the Corvette which I usually race with."
David Loix - ProSpeed Competition: "Goeod team, good car, good line-up, we're going for it. The Porsche 996 GT3 RSR has already proved itself, ad with a cup-engine we should go far. When it comes to consumption we're on the right track. Last year victory slipped through our fingers, and this year we're back to win! There are obviously a load of factors we have to take into consideration, but I'm truly confident. Fingers crossed!"
Kenneth Heyer - AD Sport: "We have everything to hand to achieve an excellent result. The car is perhaps not as fast as the Kuismanen Competition model, but we're opting for a sensible race. The first hours of the race aren't that important. It's Sunday that counts!"
