Russell Racing will be starting!!!Good news for the Thiers brothers. They would be entering the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder along with Laurent Van Moerkerke and Guy Van Mol in their Porsche, yet yesterday evening an accident abruptly ended those hopes. Laurent Van Moerkerke had a severe off during night practice, preparing the Porsche for the dumpyard.
The good news is the team will still be allowed to start this endurance classic, though on another car and in another class. A decision from the Sporting Committee allowed them to enter the Guest class. As Hans Thiers was not able to complete the prescribed number of three nighttime laps, owing to the accident, the team has to start from the pit lane. They will be joined by cars #27 and #57, as not all drivers on the entry list took part in nighttime qualifying.
