Marc Goossens participating ten times...Not need for presenting Marc Goossens, the highly sympathetic Belgian living at Geel. He has been driving among the best in both national and international competitions. Marc Goossens is an acknowledged driver from the USA, over Europe to the Far East.
2005 will be the second time we see Marc running the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder on the SRT C5-R Corvette. The team is confident to be improving from the problems seen at last year's edition. Previous Belcar races have already proven the reliability of the car.
This year will be Marc's tenth participation in a 24 Hours classis in which Marc already saw many successes. Goossens has won the race twice: in 1997 (with Huisman and Vosse as team mates) and in 1998 (once again with Huisman and also Thierry Boutsen). Both victories were obtained running a Porsche. Goossens has also finished third once and two times fourth.
Marc's most special memory isn't a victory however. "No, my most special memory were the qualifications with the RTM Porsche some years ago. We ended the day in pole position, beating all the GTA cars with our GTB Porsche", Marc explains. "My aim this year is to score as much points as possible. I'll be happy to rely upon two well experienced team mates, David Hart and Guy Verheyen, as well as the entire SRT team."
