NGT Racing : first participation in the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder.This is NGT Racing's first season at the Mediagroup Van Dyck Belcar Championship. Hence they will be rookies at the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder. The team will rely upon three drivers (Marc Maton, Heinz Bonnaerens and Ward Sluys) with a fourth one still being negociated. The team will be driving a Porsche 996 Supercup. The car was acquired in January 2005 and it is believed to be one of the most recently built cars from Porsche Motorsport.
The car has not been modified for the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder. For example the current fuel tank of 100 liters will not be changed. Still they have to fit a new engine, after the previous one has been making too much revs at Brands Hatch. They will get the new motor delivered in august.
The people at NGT stay very realistic about their ambitions. "Being a new team we have to be realistic, yet we believe to have the right car and a consistent driver line-up. If we can avoid troubles we will be very happy to get a top 15 ranking. We will certainly not throw our chances at the extra points in the early racing hours (points are scored after the 6th and 12th racing hours)."
