Marc Martens: "Of course there will be a Guest class!"

Rumours went around the Zolder track as if the Guest class would possibly be abandoned for the Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder. The 24u.be editorial team decided to ask about it rightaway, to series promotor marc Martens. He reacted surprised: “I’d really love to know how this kind of rumours come to be. If you look at the Mediagroep Van Dyck Belcar Original sports regulations it’s pretty clear… Page 4 states there are 4 classes, one of which is the Guest class.”

“Three classes are reserved to people running the entire championship and taking championship scoreing points. Class 4 I explicitely reserved for Guest cars, being: any cars appearing on the list of permitted makes and types, yet not subscribed to the entire championship", Marc Martens explains.

“If anyone should decide not to have a Class 4, this would require the regulations to be changed", he sais. End of story according to Marc Martens.
