Eurotech Racing fastest in wet second qualifying sesion

The second qualifying session didn’t really change things. Heavy rain was keeping the teams from improving. Only 20 cars actually went out on the track. Only the Eurotech Racing Marcos and the CEO Racing #38 Porsche went under 1:50”. The Accent Racing Team was third fastest. ProSpeed was fourth fastest, ahead of the G&A Racing Mosler. Most teams only used the session to improve their wet set-ups.

Halfway through the session we saw a red flag after the Bon-Gou Speedlover 996 GT3 Cup Porsche crashed coming out of the Bianchi curve. The car’s front bodywork was damaged, hence it will not be racing in the other qualifying sessions. “The suspension was damaged on both sides. Also the chassis has to be adjusted. The car is now leavin for the bodywork shop. We’ll not be racing today, yet we’ll be there at the warm-up on saturday”, the team comments.
