Kris Wauters crashes out in third qualifying After a wet second qualifying session, the third one started without rain. The track was also drying out. Some 10 cars managed to improve their night stint lap times. Also Kris Wauters went looking for a flying lap, yet spinning off the track at the Bianchi curve. The #8 AD Sport Porsche was heavily damaged, so the team will be doing the utmost to prepare the car for the race.
At the very same moment the #70 Accent Racing Porsche lost its front bodywork. The car got stuck in the gravel trap yet managed to return to the boxes. GLPK Racing also saw some calamity when the Corvette caught fire at the rear left. Even though the GLPK C5-R managed to be fastest, ahead of the SRT one. ProSpeed Competition was third fastest, ahead of the Eurotech Marcos and the CEO-PSI Porsch #38.
