Soulet (SRT) ultimately takes pole position .001 sec ahead of GLPK! The end of the last qualifying session proved to be most interesting. In the last few laps Maxime Soulet went 1/1000 sec faster than Anthony Kumpen’s night time qualifier. GLPK still tried to get even, putting Mike Hezemans back on the track on fresh slicks. The flying dutchman lapped a personal best time in the first two sections, yet losing .2 sec in the last section. Hence the heavily mediatised pole position goes to… Selleslagh Racing Team.
“I’m incredibly happy about our team’s collective effort and especially our promising youngster Maxime Soulet. Maxime has proven himself very mature and very quickly accomodating to the GT1. Let’s not forget this is only his third endurance race, and the second one racing a big bad GT1. If he chooses GT’s as a career path I see a bright future for him”, SRT team owner Patrick Selleslagh comments.
 G&A Racing also maximised it’s last qualfying session effort. The Mosler is now 4th on the grid, putting back the #21 ProSpeed Competition Porsche to the third row! It’s a tremendous success for Guino Kenis and his sympathetic team. Belgium Racing did great putting the Class 3 Ultima on the fourth row. Another pleasant surprise from First Motorsport was the #50 996 GT3 Cup Porsche taking ninth overall with a 1:36s.
