GLPK leading halfway through, ahead of SRT and Eurotech Racing Shortly before the 12 hour mark the GLPK Corvette came in, having it’s rear bodywork removed. Apparently the gearbox was causing trouble. The team lost precious time in the pitlane, yet Kurt Mollekens could regain the track with a comfortable 10 laps lead over the SRT Corvette. Marc Goossens was one lap behind in the Marcos LM600.
Before the halfway mark we saw more retirements from the Accent Racing Porsche. The team did well early in the race, yet damaging the front including the cooling system meant game over. Also the Ultima GTR fell back. Daikin Racing also had to call it quits before the halfway mark. Steffi Halm had to park the German made car near the Villeneuve chicane.
Class 2 saw a nice competition, with the top five cars within four laps. ProSpeed is leading the debate, ahead of the GS Motorsport BMW V8 GTR and the CEO Racing Porsche #29. Also in Class 3 is completely open. First Motorsport is leading, ahead of BonGou-Speedlover and GS Motorsport. All three are within 1min 30. Close racing after 12 hours!
In Class 4 it’s all looking great for the #69 BonGou-Speedlover Porsche 997 Cup. They are leading the WS-Racing Seat Leon Cupra. Third in class was Daikin Racing, before Steffi Halm parked the car in the grass that is. The car was put behind the armco – game over for Daikin Racing. The JMT Racing Porsche GT2-R toert is in fourth, Ahead of the GPR 997 GT3 Cup Porsche.
