See you next year at Zolder for the 24 Hours! The Euphony 24 Hours of Zolder have been great... again. The race went smoothly even if we've seen quite some surprises. This is what true endurance racing should be like. Our congratulations go out to all those participating, finishing and winning in the various classes.
Also the 24u.be crew has been working very long stints. Our endurance race has been taking way more than 24 hours! Contacting sponsors, building up the website and gathering the crew has been a long lasting effort.
Our endurance effort included bringing over 24 hours of live reporting on the internet. Sure we'll add some more comments and updates in the next few days... yet our own "race of the year" is now over.
It was already the fifth consecutive time 24u.be has been providing live coverage, for an ever increasing crowd of online visitors. We started as a volunteer effort supported by some motorsports enthusiasts and built it out to a mature internet medium, with it's own legal entity. As far as we're informed this is rather unique!
Unique it is, as a live internet medium on Flanders' only 24 hours race, yet also in the way our volunteers are doing a great job. Martijn, Mark, Marnik, Bert, Isabelle, Dirk, Valentin and Jan-Frans... many, many thanks for your efforts and realisations!
We would also like to thank other people and organisations supporting 24u.be including our sponsors ans the Circuit Zolder staff services for their support and technical facilities. So this is a special thank you to marketing manager Walter Goossens and his team, the 'Radio Info Team' of Guy Geurts, the Media Center desk, the catering... It wouldn't be possible without you guys!
We also would like to thank those teams subscribing for our 'team page' service. This initiative will certainly be repeated and improved for next year's edition.
That's it. It's been a long day.
Enjoy your sleep & see you next year at the 24 Hours of Zolder!
