Bad luck weekend for Derdaele – Heyman remains optimistic – Longin disappointed

Patric Derdaele – D. Belgium Racing – Ultima GTR: "We have a problem on one of the dampers. We will be trying to fix the car so we can finish the race and take championship points. Yet luck is not really on our side. First we had a collision causing the wheel hub to break. Then our third gear was gone... And now this! We came here as class leaders in the championship, and we might be leaving only third. I think we could say things could have been better."

Johan Empsen – D. Belgium Racing – Ultima GTR: "Liek Patric said he're having a broken damper. To get it fixed we will have to unmount the engine. I'm not sure if this is still feasible. Maybe we can still get on the track just before the chequered flag and get a finish on stationary revs."

Dries Heyman – WS-Racing – Seat Leon Cupra: "We're almost done! Hopefully we can leave the pitlane again after three hours or hard work. Suddenly the clutch went out. Ward Sluys did make it to the pitlane and the mechanics are doing a great job. After three hours it's looking fine again. Giving up is just not mentioned in our dictionary!"

Bert Longin – GLPK Racing – Corvette C5-5: "We have inspected the broken gearbox. Apparently our supplier has made a serious mistake in preparing the gearbox. One of the bolts wasn't fixed properly. This has cost us our victory!"
