Jean-Claude Voets joins the McDonald's Racing TeamThe McDonald's Racing Team is preparing for its third 24 Hours of Zolder. The team of entrepreneur François Bouillon wasn't very lucky in 2005 and 2006... but in the meantime the Porsche 996 Biturbo underwent significant improvements. This year the team is hoping to clinch a podium in the Division 3. The car with starting number 216 will be spurred by team regulars François Bouillon and Luc Gabriel. The duo will be joined by Jean-Claude Voets.
Voets is a familiar face in the Belgian motor sport. In the past he raced for GPR, the team of Pino Sperlinga. Back then he got behind the wheel of a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup, together with Pascal Mathieu: "We rounded off a successful test at Circuit Zolder today", François Bouillon told us. "We gave Jean-Claude the opportunity to have track time with our Porsche. After the test we quickly came to an agreement. Jean-Claude was able to adapt very quickly to the car, and also his laptimes were good. Let's hope Lady Luck will be on our side this year."
