Garage Pino Racing to 24 Hours of Zolder as one of the favorites

Through the years Pino Sperlinga has built up an excellent reputation in endurance racing. That's why we'll have to keep an eye on both his Porsches 997 GT3. More than likely than not the cars of this Brussels based tuner will take a leading role in the upcoming 24 Hours race.

In the meantime GPR is preparing its cars for the 24 Hours of Zolder. During the test day at Circuit Zolder last Thursday, the team completed a testing schedule with the new evo-kit for the 997 GT3 cars. The new kit should offer the drivers a wider range of possibilities to fine tune their car's set-up. The improved aerodynamics should help the drivers to close the gap with the faster cars. Ruben Maes and Marc Duez used Thursday practice to improve the set-up of the dampers.

Regarding the line-ups, Pino Sperlinga has already completed the squads for the #55 and #56 cars. Team regulars Maes and Duez will be joined by Jean-François Hemroulle and Pascal Mathieu. The other Division 1 car will be spurred by Maxime Soulet and Guillaume Dumarey. Earlier this season the team had announced that Marc Goossens would join them for the 24 Hours of Zolder. Fourth driver on the #56 will be Guillaume's brother, Maxime Dumarey. The youngest of the Dumarey's has already gathered a fair amount of experience with GT3 cars. In 2006 he completed the European FIA GT3 Championship with one of the Tech 9 Motorsport Porsches.

Up until now it's unsure whether GPR might also be entering a third car - the Division 3 Porsche 997 #258. Earlier in the season we saw René Franchi and François Turcho behind the wheel of this car in the Mediagroep van Dyck Belcar.
