CEO Racing with Van Rossem-Van Hoepen-Vollebebergh-De LaetBelcar regulars CEO Racing are also fully manned for the 24 Hours of Zolder. The Antwerp based team is calling on the services of two team regulars to back up Vollebergh and De Laet in this Zolder endurance race. Bert van Rossem and Peter van Hoepen will be reinforcing the troops in the Porsche sporting race number 229. Dutchman Peter van Hoepen is a regular competitor in the Belcar series. Luck was not on his side during the 2006 24 Hours of Zolder. Gearbox problems raised their head early on in the event. That year Van Hoepen was at the wheel of a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup - whereas this year CEO will be on the grid with a Porsche 996 GT3 RS.
It is in fact the same Porsche 996 GT3 RS which Bert van Rossem raced last year in the 24 Hours of Zolder. In 2007 the Porsche drivers will be competing in Division 3 of the Mediagroep van Dyck Belcar.
CEO Racing might well be one of the outsiders to clinch a podium place. As is the case for all teams competing it is imperative that they steer clear of all problems. Having said that, a Porsche is the ideal endurance car; so there might well be a surprise in store for Van Rossem-Van Hoepen-Vollebebergh-De Laet. The norm time should also be to the advantage of the quartet as thanks to the pivot time the vital components of the Division 3 cars are not put under such heavy stress.
