ADAC GT Masters - first free practice: Belgians take it easyThe Belgian teams took it easy during the first free practice session for the ADAC GT Masters. As was expected the top-5 was dominated by Lamborghini. Three Lambos from Reiter Engineering, one from ARGO Racing as also one All-Inkl.com Racing model completed the list. Best non-Gallardo-team was GS Motorsport. The drivers from the German team, who are also entered for the 24 Hours of Zolder, set down the sixth time.
Racing for Belgium drivers David Sterckx and Ron Marchal completed the first practice in eighth place. The Aston Martin-duo had to give away one and a half seconds. The Daikin-girls were more than two seconds down on the Lambo-armada and had to be contended with the eleventh time. A+ Racing could not do any better than a thirteenth time. CEO Racing was sixteenth, Speedlover eighteenth and the AD Sport Viper did not take part in the free practice session.
In comparison with the pole of Peter Kox in the Belcar Midsummer Race, there is still room for improvement. On that occasion Kox clocked up a 1:34 with the Gallardo GT3, whereas the best Lambo could not get under 1:35 today.  VZW 24u.be - Gordon McKay on Friday 24 August 2007 at 15:24. |
