ADAC GT Masters - disappointment for the Belgians - Menten-Haase win the first race The Belgians were out of luck today in the ADAC GT Masters at Zolder. The Racing For Belgium Aston Martin retired after nine laps. A great pity that David Sterckx and Ron Marchal were unable to cash in on their great fourth place on the grid. The best Belgian team was A+ Racing, finishing in eleventh place, just ahead of the Daikin-Viper of Alexandra van de Velde and Stefanie Boden and the CEO Racing-drivers Danny de Laet and Bert van Rossem. Once again Raus and Vanaudenhove in their BonGou-Speedlover Porsche had to play catch up. They finally finished fifteenth.
Victory in the seventh round of the ADAC GT Masters went to championship leader Christopher Haase. In Zolder the young German was backed up by Jos Menten, and this duo promptly clinched an excellent win. Haase managed to build up a 15 seconds lead, leaving Menten to consolidate the position. Peter Kox and Albert II von Thurn und Taxis ended second. The ARGO Lamborghini completed the podium. Once again a full Lambo-podium in the GT Masters.
Tomorrow we can expect a race of the titans between the 'A-drivers', who will be at the wheel tomorrow. Kox, Menten and Bouchut have already promised to produce a great fireworks display!
