Walter Goossens - Circuit Zolder: "Well on track for a breathtaking weekend!"

Walter Goossens - Marketing Manager Circuit ZolderCompetitors in the 24 Hours of Zolder were first introduced to 24u.be in 2002. And now, six years on, the concept has grown from being a basic website providing information into a fully fledged medium for the highlight event of the year at Circuit Zolder. One of the key figures who helped to develop the concept is Walter Goossens, Marketing Manager of Circuit Zolder. Over the years vzw 24u.be has always been able to count on his full support.

"Internet will never become less important. This is quite obviously in jest, but it is like that. People are far more likely to find the information they need via the net as compared to any other channel of information. Especially in our sector. It was quite amazing to see the individual number of visitors on our site grow by the hour during this last weekend (Champ Car) ", Walter Goossens told us." We recently developed a brand new house style and this has quite obviously also meant coming out with a new look & feel for our website. The effect of the revamping was immediately visible through the increased number of visitors. All the same the 24 Hours of Zolder are not being held on the internet, but right here. Once again we have planned an extensive side programme, and the spectators will definitely never get bored."

The start of the 2007 edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder will be given at 16.00hrs.....but in the run up to it, and after the presentation of the drivers it will be time for babes... We'll definitely be calling on all spectators to take their seats in the grandstands as from 15.15hrs: "We have a surprise in store ", Goossens added.

Apart from the 24 Hours race, what else is there to be experienced in Zolder? "Maes Zero will build a kart track. Did someone say that you can't drink and drive? Maes Zero is an alcohol-free beer, and any individual who appears with two cans of Maes Zero will be allowed get behind the wheel of a kart. Place to be: paddock zone 5. Both on Saturday as also Sunday. Between 21.00 and 22.00hrs on Saturday evening Red Bull will present an FMX-show on the off road track (behind the First Left). Definitely not to be missed. "

Great atmosphere and music will be provided by a series of DJs and artists, such as Shameboy, La Gazz and Discobar Lassy from Het Belang van Limburg. Kermis Paradiso will install a Ferris wheel, giving spectators a great view of the circuit some 25 meters up for a highly democratic price. And last but not least a bikini-carwash is planned... tune in for the 24 Hours of Zolder on 8th and 9th September at Circuit Zolder!
