ADAC GT Masters - Daikin-girls excel - another win for Menten-Haase

Today the Daikin-ladies put their best foot forward. Stefanie Boden and Alexandra van de Velde brought the Dodge Viper Competition Coupé of the Daikin Racing Team home in an excellent sixth place, an amazing result for this duo! Especially when one takes into consideration the strong competition and the numerous unbeatable Lamborghinis – which once again took the top 3 places: "We kept a cool head at the start whilst there was some contact up front between several cars ", Boden told us.

Second best Belgian representative was the other Viper-team; A+ Racing. Van de Plas and Lumbeeck drove a consistent race finishing in eighth place. The CEO Racing-duo van Rossem-de Laet finished eleventh, whilst the BonGou-Speedlover Porsche crossed the line in thirteenth spot. The Racing For Belgium Aston Martin was not on the start grid for the second race.

Jos Menten, who had earlier announced that he would not be competing in the 24 Hours of Zolder this year, also won the second race today – together with his German team mate Christopher Haase. At the start there was contact between the leaders, Kox and Bouchut, and Menten was able to take full advantage of the situation. The Dutchman came on through the bustling in second spot, behind his FIA GT-team mate Peter Kox. The latter was penalised with a drive through penalty, giving Menten-Haase the victory on a silver platter. Kaufmann-van der Lof finished second, ahead of Kox-von Thurn und Taxis. Once again it was a complete Lamborghini-podium!
