The 24 Hours of Zolder - live on RTBF!

This edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder will also be broadcast live! The French speaking channel RTBF has scheduled a total of two hours live broadcasting. The spectacle kicks off on Saturday 8th September at 15.43hrs. The first fifteen minutes of this endurance race will be on the TV screens. At 16.53hr the first broadcast session will come to an end. RTBF will be back again on Sunday immediately after the end of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Italy, and will be broadcasting the end of the race in Zolder live.

"This year the 24 Hours of Zolder can be viewed not only via the classic cable. We came to an agreement with the RTBF who will be transmitting the images via satellite all over the world, namely via RTBF Sat. This can be received in almost all European homes which are equipped with an Astra modem", promoter Patricia Indekeu of SRO Belgium told us. Several North African countries are also included in the zone. According to the 2006 figures some 25 million families in 35 countries own an Astra modem.

On Sunday 9th September the VRT (Sporza) channel will transmit a round-up of some 15 minutes at 17.30hrs. The Weekend-Sportif (RTBF) will also be transmitting a round-up immediately after the evening news. In addition highlights are scheduled on RTL (Moteurs), RTBF (Champions), AB3 (Speed Action) and Focus TV & WTV. Summaries on Sky Sport 2 + Sky Sport 3, TVE Teledeportes, Sky Sport, Sporttv, Turbotv have also been planned for viewing during the week after the 24 Hours of Zolder.
