Markus Palttala replacing Pierre Merch at G-Force Racing!

Markus Palttala is terug van weggeweestMarkus Palttala is back on the scene. Yesterday the highly likeable Palttala had already hinted to the editorial staff that he was close to obtaining a drive. Today all details were finalised, and the young Finn told us that he would be at the wheel of the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup of G-Force Racing. Pierre Merch had previously been announced as the fourth driver in the team, but the Luxemburg racer will be standing down for Palttala. Together with Frank Hahn, Val Hillebrand and Leo van Sande, the young Finn is aiming for a good overall ranking.

"Last week I was still without a drive. I did have a few discussions, but nothing really concrete. And then yesterday everything promptly slotted into place. Whilst I was getting ready to test the Matech this morning, Frank Hahn called me to confirm that everything had been sorted out. I have really missed Belcar and I'm really looking forward to the first free practice sessions."

Small anecdote regarding Palttala's test day with the Matech Ford GT... the Flying Finn was under the barrier of 1:34" several times today. The Swiss team of Christian Schumacher have no plans to enter the 24 Hours of Zolder this year.
