Moore International Motorsport and their new BMW E46

New BMW E46 for Moore International MotorsportThe NEW Moore International Motorsport car is on its way, following the end of "OLD BLUE" the familiar Belcar TB car. Endless hours of work continue deep into the morning every night since the shell returned from roll cage insertion and then the paint shop to reach our goal of producing the new BMW E46 GTR in time for the 24hr race at Zolder. This race is considered as one of the high lights of the MIMS calendar and one vital to Teams progress hopefully to rescue a result in the Championship. We recognise that the odds are now against us of finishing on top of Touring car class or even class TB, never the less we will strive forward, and the battle is far from lost, and with a little luck going our way for a change we may succeed, one thing is for sure we will NOT give up !

For those interested the specification of the car will be similar to OLD BLUE. But there are many changes and updates to the old E36 model. These include an exciting new body kit which should produce higher down force than the before, apart from that it looks big, wide, strong, mean and very fast! Drive train changes should make the car more durable without loosing performance. The engine package remains mostly the same, except for an additional 8 – 10bhp to our already impressive 428bhp. A brand new fuel system will improve weight distribution and balance. Other modifications are subtle but we think nice, and in general improving the ergonomics of the race car.

Finally and probably one of the most important changes is the Team has a new sponsor. Shall we tell or shall we let you guess? The later I think, there is a big clue in the artists impression, but please note these pictures are just impressions of what our car may look like, to see the real; thing you will have to come to Zolder for the 24hr.

Cheers - See you in Zolder !

Best regards
Willie Moore
