Stranded cars brought back to the pits The drivers' briefing kicked off at 19.30hrs in the media centre. The teams and drivers received some very interesting news! Clerk of the Course Danny Dubois: "Any car unable to carry on after an accident will be helped back into the race. Should an accident occur at 18.15hrs we would then call upon the safety-car at 18.30hrs. The breakdown truck would be brought out and the stranded car would be brought back to the pits, allowing the team to repair the car. "
 "We're obviously not going to bring out the safety car every hour. Only when there are cars experiencing mechanical damage would I neutralise the race – and this always on the half hour ", Dubois continued. "In other words: 16.30hrs, 17.30hrs, 18.30hrs..."
There was not much further news at the traditional briefing.
