News snippets on Saturday morning: First Motorsport, McDonald's, MSE and RFB

As previously mentioned the McDonald's Porsche 996 BiTurbo will be taking the start of the race from the back of the grid. The First Motorsport Porsche drivers Jeuris/Vetters/Van Rompuy/Van Rompuy will also be starting from the rear of the grid seeing Ronald Vetters did not complete the compulsory laps on Wednesday evening.

During the night the Aston Martin DBRS9 of Racing For Belgium was given a complete makeover. The team was not fully satisfied with the car's original livery and therefore decided to dress the British power beast in black, decorated with white reflecting logos.

The McDonald's Racing Team hope to be able to master the problems. François Bouillon: "The team replaced the damaged cylinder and we have full trust for the race. Yesterday evening we ran through various points with Menno, Luc and the tuner and we're now ready for the race. We're going to handle the race in a sensible way and in the beginning monitor the car to ensure that it is running as expected. We'll re-analyse the situation tomorrow morning and we can then eventually start forcing matters."

At MSE the car's clutch was replaced and in the meantime it is now back in the pit box. The team will be carrying out a final check-up prior to the warm-up. Paul Grutman: "The car is back in running order and we're looking forward to a great race Bart (Van Samang) has enough experience in this type of conditions and as such he will be driving the Porsche BiTurbo for the first stint."
