Warm-up: Gravity Racing International dominates warm-up The final dress rehearsal before the 29th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder is over. Fastest lap was clocked by Vincent Vosse, who with the Mosler MT900R of Gravity Racing International was the only one to go under 1:37". Vosse held his team mate in the #24 Mosler behind him. Third best time goes to Pascal Mathieu, the GPR Porsche driver, who clocked up a fast lap at the end of the session. CEO Racing confirmed that it is in good shape. The Porsche 996 GT3 RS finished fourth, ahead of the #52 ProSpeed Porsche of Bouvy, Loix, Duval and Fumal.
There was also good news coming from the Daikin Racing Team pit box. "The gearbox was causing problems, and the team is presently repairing things ", Stephanie Boden had told us after qualifying. "OK, it's probably better during the qualifying than in the race "the charming girl from Tongeren remarked. In de warm-up the Daikin quartet clocked up the tenth best time.
The gearbox is also playing up at First Motorsport, on the Porsche with number 50, with at the wheel Henk Haane, Stefan van Campenhoudt, Gosse Stielstra, François Verbist. Jo Jamers' pit crew are furiously working on replacing the gearbox, so that the drivers of the #50 Porsche can get to start without problems of these 24 Hours of Zolder.
