First Motorsport has a strong lead - All classes represented in the top ten

AD Sport Porsche 996 BiturboAll leaders in the various classes are to be found in the top five. This means that the concept of SRO Belgium, with the lower norm times for the Division III cars has obviously worked out well. The AD Sport Porsche 996 Biturbo has come out as one of the trendsetters, and was able to fight it out during the entire race for an overall podium. It was only during the night that the team with Vanierschot had to relinquish some time... but a strong stint by the King of Zolder brought the car back up into podium contention. With only four hours to go Schreurs is once more at the wheel, and the car is presently ranked third, closely followed by Kurt Dujardin.

What does this represent for rest of the intermediate score? Up front the First Motorsport Porsche 997 GT3 Cup #50 continues to set the tune. Presently Stefan Vancampenhoudt is at the wheel of the First power beast. His lead on the #56 GPR Porsche represents roughly four laps, which means that at First e can start taking it easier. Then there is a gap of fifteen laps with the AD Porsche #228 and the #51 ProSpeed Competition Porsche. Unless there are incidents up front either a First or a GPR Porsche will win the 29th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder.

NGT Racing Porsche 996 GT3 CupNGT Racing drove a reasonable race and more especially a sensible one. The team based in Grimbergen took no notice of the fast start of the race by the Moslers... and now they are racing around in a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup in fifth place. The second AD Sport car is holding a place in the top ten. Heylen, Wouters, Wouters and Vanthoor are clutching on to sixth place, with some five lap ahead of the G-Force Racing Porsche 997 GT3 Cup. "We experienced a few small problems, but that is motorsport", Palttala commented.

In a race riddled with problems for Gravity Racing International, it does look as though one of the Moslers will make the finish. The #25 is still driving, and is presently in eighth place. A great pity for the team of Loris de Sordi is that they did clock the fastest race lap. Vincent Vosse was the only one to go under the 1:36"... 1:35,151 to be precise.

GS Motorsport Porsche 996 GT3 CupThe top ten is rounded off by two further Porsches. The First Motorsport Porsche 996 GT3 Cup with number 150, which was hounded with problems during the night, has once again regained the ninth place. Broodcoren-De Coster-Bouillon-Goffin drove a pretty anonymous race with the GS Motorsport Porsche. They were able to take advantage of the problems of others, and are now in tenth place overall.

A round-up after 20hours of racing:
1. #50 First Motorsport - Porsche 997 GT3 Cup
2. #56 GPR - Porsche 997 GT3 Cup
3. #51 ProSpeed Competition - Porsche 997 GT3 Cup
