One sole ProSpeed Porsche following the crash on Thursday's training session?

Porsche 996 GT3 - Jos VanroijThere's a fair chance that we might only have the opportunity to see one ProSpeed Competition Porsche at the start of the 24 Hours of Zolder. During the 'Open Time Competition for Cars', a.k.a. the Thursday practice session at Circuit Zolder, Jos van Roij crashed off the track with the Liege based team's Porsche 996 GT3. The front and rear of the Weissach car was seriously damaged.

Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S - Prospeed CompetitionMost probably the 996 cannot be repaired in time for the race and team owner Rudi Penders will concentrate his efforts on the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S. However as an alternative, ProSpeed might conjure up another car from out of its sleeve. It should be noted that ProSpeed scored a fourth place in the G3 class in Spa-Francorchamps with the 997 GT3 Cup S, with amongst others Jan Heylen at the wheel. For the 24 Hours of Zolder Penders himself will be at the wheel of the car bearing start number 51. The Maasmechelen based driver will have the support from Franz Lamot, David Loix and most probably Stéphane Lémeret.
