JD Competition with a Porsche 996 GT3 RS for De Laet-Verbergt-Hemroulle At JD Competition by Astromega matters have taken a final turn. It is more than likely that the two Lamborghini Gallardos will remain in the workshops, whilst the Porsche 996 GT3 RS will be brought out of hibernation. The green Porsche with its atmospheric engine, which the team raced in the Belcar series last year, will be manned by the JD-drivers Danny de Laet and Tim Verbergt. Third driver in the Weissach car is Jean-François Hemroulle, who won the G3 class last week in the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
The Lamborghini bearing start number 10 will appear at the start. The 'Bingoal-Lambo' will be in the capable hands of Patrick Ceusters and Henk Haane. The third and fourth drivers for this Italian beauty have not as yet been confirmed. JD Competition by Astromega will be betting on two horses and this could well be the correct decision. Even though the Gallardo GT3 may well be out on track without a norm time, the legendary reliability of the Porsche could well be the decisive factor in the final outcome.
