MPM Racing by Verbist: Markus Palttala will also be present The 24 Hours of Zolder and Markus Palttala go hand in hand. The Flying Finn had to skip a year in 2006, but in 20007 he was back in action. This year this driver from northern Europe will be battling it out at the wheel of a Porsche 996 GT3 RS straight out of the workshops of MPM Racing by Verbist. The team led by Michel Pulinx boasts a well balanced line-up for these 24 Hours of Zolder, with Pulinx and Palttala being joined by Armand Fumal and Julien Schroyen.
The main advantage of the Division 3 Porsche is that this drivers' quartet does not need to go flat out. And with endurance -specialist Palttala amongst the ranks, it is not unrealistic to state that the MPM-powerhouse could well be fighting it out up front. "I didn't compete in 2006, but in all my participations I'm pleased to say that I have at least once come through as leader. I definitely want to repeat this tradition, but in a race such as the 24 Hours of Zolder it is especially a question of sparing the machinery ", the highly likeable Palttala remarked.
