Menzo 24 Hours of Zolder kicks off with the traditional briefing The 30th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder kicked off with the traditional drivers' briefing. 104 drivers and 27 team managers were present for this first rendezvous of the Menzo 24 Hours of Zolder. Clerk of the Course Danny Dubois ran through the major points, with an emphasis on the start procedure.
Apart from the start procedure the norm time in Division 3 was also discussed. Event promoter Patricia Indekeu of SRO Belgium kept her word and left the nom time at 1:36", similar to the previous year. However, new this year is the 'Code 60', whereby the Safety-Car could be kept in its stable. In the event that the race should be neutralised purple flag will be waved. All competitors must then keep to an average speed of 60 kilometres per hour on the track. At Circuit Zolder a lap under 'Code 60' corresponds to a lap time of 4 minutes.
