Van Hooydonk takes provisional pole during the third session

Not everyone had their last say during the first two qualifying sessions, as was proven by Jeffrey Van Hooydonk and Vincent Radermecker. The Dodge Viper Competition Coupé bearing start number 4 was first in the queue in the pitlane to take to the track. In the second qualifying session 'Jeff' came very close to the provisional pole time set by Soulet, but during his third attempt he hit the mark. The former F1-licence holder went under the time of the GPR Pino Racing Porsche, however by a minimal margin.

Half way through the session Radermecker also build up the pace. The driver in the green Mosler MT900 of Gravity Racing International goes under the 1:34", to finally finish in second spot. Radermecker-Kumpen-Longin presently need to be satisfied with a place on the commercially important first row of the grid... but the trio still have a final session in which to turn the tide.

Grid GPR Pino Racing did not take part in the third session. Team boss Pino Sperlinga had given his troops instructions to slot in the racing engine. With their third place on the grid the team are sitting pretty for this race over 24 hours, which will start on Saturday at 16.00hrs. KRK Racing was also out to spare its material, but Jan Heylen was not in full agreement with that. The former Champ Car-driver tried to improve on his time but missed his braking point in the first left. Heylen spun, but luckily without damage.

In Division 3 nothing changed. Apart from First Motorsport noone needed to call on their joker, and all the other D3-cars remained above the 1:36" barrier. Behind the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup of Lagrange-Nelissen Grade-Verbist-Leest we find the Porsche 996 GT3 RS of Pulinx-Fumal-Palttala-Menten and the JD Competition by Astromega model. In Division 2, Powercars Racing has taken over the command. The best Ginetta provisionally remains the model driven by Vanbellingen and co.
