Frank Thuriaux (A+ Racing) proud of his pit crewFrank Thuriaux, the A+ Racing team manager, experienced a few difficult moments last Thursday afternoon. Just before the end of the fourth and final qualifying session his driver, Guido Werckx, skidded off the track exiting the Villeneuve-chicane. After analysis of the data it was apparent that human error had caused it. It took the A+ Racing crew a few hours to clean up the mess, but the is 100% ready for the start of the race, in the next 50 minutes.
"Normally on a Thursday you try to go home as early as possible, giving the team enough resting time before such a gruelling race as the 24 Hours of Zolder. Our boys worked hard through the night to get the car ready and for that reason I wish to thank them heartily. They worked together just like a professional team so as to provide our drivers with a perfect car. Taking into consideration the limited time span and the high pressure of work I'm truly proud of their efforts. This morning Wim Lumbeeck clocked some impressive times with the Dodge Viper, which once again emphasises the fact that my pit crew performed brilliantly."
