Another broken shaft for GPR Pino Racing

Matters are not running smoothly for GPR Pino Racing. In contrast with last year the team have had to carry out repairs twice in the pits. For a second time a drive shaft gave up the ghost, bringing the car in to the pit box for repairs. In Zolder replacing a shaft can easily cost up to ten laps in time. Franchi en Soulet, the present leaders in the intermediate championship rankings passively watch as their car drops out of the top-ten.

"Another broken shaft. Due to these repairs we're now almost twenty laps down. It will be difficult to make up those arrears ", Greg Franchi tells us."All that is left for us to do is to try to finish the race as high up as possible. We'll continue giving our all and we'll see how it turns out tomorrow. We're definitely not going to hang around."

ProSpeed Competition and NGT Racing have not experienced any mechanical problems as yet and are fully confident of the reliability of the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S.

And five minutes after publication of this article, the Porsche enters the pitlane with... another broken drive shaft.
